Reformer class FAQs ~
If you've got questions, we've got answers.
-
We have two studio locations across the North and South Islands. Hustle & Flow Ōakura is nestled in The Village Mews, Ōakura, Taranaki, on the ground floor next to the Crafty Fox co-op and Dental Delight. Our South Island studio is perfectly positioned at the Queenstown Marina, offering a stunning lakeside setting.
-
If you're seeking to enhance your existing training routine without needing to forgo any of your current sessions, attending 1-2 classes per week is the perfect solution.
For individuals seeking the strength benefits of Pilates, committing to 3-4 classes per week is ideal. It pairs exceptionally well with a weekly regimen of walking or running for a well-rounded fitness routine.
Everybody is different, so it is important to do what feels good for you and what your body responds best to.
-
Our reformer pilates classes are 45 minutes long. Please arrive 5 minutes early to a regular class and 10 minutes early to an introductory class.
-
Our classes are designed for optimal attention and support, with up to 6 people in Ōakura and up to 8 in Queenstown. This ideal class size ensures that each client receives personalised modifications and enhancements to suit their needs and goals.
-
If you have been to the studio before, please arrive 5 minutes prior to class. If you are late, your spot may be given to someone on the waitlist.
If you are booked into an Intro class or reformer pilates is new to you in general, please arrive 10 minutes prior to class so your trainer can familiarise you with the reformer, check in with any injuries and answer any questions you might have.
-
Wear your normal exercise gear, something you feel comfortable in and can move freely in. Socks are to be worn during the class for hygiene reasons. We recommend grippy socks so they do not feel slippery as you move on the reformer. These can be purchased in the studio prior to class if you wish. Please bring your own water bottle.
